The FTV 466 and the FTV 760 receivers have been designed to allow law enforcement officers the ability to track suspects at close range, with very little expense. With multiple channel capability, the officers can target as many as 10 transmitters, of various types simultaneously.

There are several types of transmitters available for use by law officers as well. The most popular is the FTL 860 Magnet. Weighing only 1.26 oz. with very strong magnets, it is easily concealed on automobiles. Its signal strength is sufficient to be picked up from several miles in an urban area. The FTL 860 and other generic models can be fitted to include motion sensors, delayed activation, or remote turn on.

The small size of the units, their low cost and their ability to be used virtually anywhere (land, sea, air) provide the law enforcement and security personnel the ability to act quickly, with minimal prior preparation.
